Who is the best instructor at Mile Square?

Mile Square Golf Course requires each of their instructors to be active participants in the PGA. Their association with the PGA provides them with the most up to date information on golf instruction and qualifies them to give instruction to anyone. We require our instructors to be the most professional instructors in Orange County, and we are constantly encouraging them to grow their craft as golf professionals.

Who is the best instructor for junior golfers?

Any of our instructors who offer lessons for juniors are qualified to provide support for a junior golfer. Much of the decision with who would be best for your child may come from who your child is most comfortable with.

What are the rates for golf lessons?

All of our rates are posted under golf instruction rates. Any change to these prices might only be due to additional services being offered. Typically a golf lesson using video or other type of technology may cost a little more. Please ask the instructor what their price would be prior to taking a lesson.

Where do I pay for lessons?

All golf lessons can be paid in the golf shop or directly with the instructor.

Are there other instructors available other than those from Mile Square?

No, the instructors at Mile Square are qualified golf instructors who have trained through the PGA of America. Some people may represent themselves as qualified golf instructors but they are not associated with the golf instructors at Mile Square. If something should happen and you needed to get service in regards to your golf instruction, if that instructor is not certified through Mile Square, your needs could not be met.

Do golf lessons include video?

Some of the staff do provide instruction with video analysis, but you should discuss this with your instructor prior to taking the lesson.

Do I need clubs or shoes for lessons?

For those who are new to the game, we provide golf clubs for your lesson if needed. In regards to shoes, you should wear some type of tennis shoe with lateral stability to provide the support needed when swinging a golf club.

What is the best way to start my child learning to play golf?

Depending on your budget, we recommend our junior group classes or a series of private junior lessons. Please call or stop by the golf shop and we can recommend some first steps for your child.

How old does a child have to be to take lessons?

We can start your child with lessons/play as early as 5 years old with our new SNAG Beginner Golf Program. Formal instruction usually begins around the age of 7 for most children, but every child should be evaluated independently. Please check with one of our certified golf instructors to discuss this opportunity.

How do I schedule a lesson with a golf instructor?

You can register for our group lessons by visiting the golf shop and get information about private, junior or group lessons. The staff inside the golf shop have all of the information you would need to get started with your learning process.

How good do I need to be to take golf instruction?

All golfers have a different skill level and each of our instructors are qualified to help you with your game, no matter what skill level you currently have.  Just stop by, give us a call.
